Chris Dale, Managing Director of MarketingHQ

Chris Dale is the Founder and Managing Director of MarketingHQ.

Chris started MarketingHQ to bring more accountable marketing to small and medium-sized businesses across Australia.  He believes that great marketing doesn’t have to cost the earth – and any marketing needs to deliver results.

Chris has over 15 years experience in marketing, and has specific expertise in branding and strategic marketing.   In his corporate career, he has worked on global brands like Nickelodeon, MTV, Orange and the PGA.  He has also worked in a variety of industries including; grocery, telecommunications, finance and sport that gives him a broad perspective when developing marketing strategies for MarketingHQ clients.

His previous roles include brand and sponsorship manager for telecommunications giant Orange where he managed the Orange brand and developed the sponsorship marketing strategies to leverage and secure sponsorships in Formula One, AFL and Cricket.  In his time at Orange he was responsible for the major sponsorship of the Essendon Football Club and identifying the opportunity to sponsor the Australian Cricket Team. He was also national marketing manager of the Professional Golfers Association of Australia (PGA) where he created their brand positioning “The Experts In The Game”.

He is an AFL fan, a lover of red wine, a proud dad and still a very ordinary golfer despite his time at the PGA.

His marketing qualifications include a Master of Commerce (Advanced Marketing) from the Australian School of Business at the University of NSW and a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from RMIT in Melbourne. He is also a recognised Certified Practising Marketer with the Australian Marketing Institute.
